Australian director/writer Lian Lunson describes the story as having “the essences of everyday life but in a fairy tale landscape.” Although Greene played a mythical creature in the Twilight Saga films, this film is definitely one that’ll bring her out of her realm. Perhaps the most important question begging to be asked of the film is: will Greene be performing? She may not be a professional singer or dancer, but in a “magical desert” anything is possible, right?

Attached to the project as executive producers are Bono and Wim Wenders, while Lunson and Aaron Lubin will produce. Filming is scheduled to take place this summer in New Mexico.

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart caused quite a stir last weekend when they (SPOILER ALERT!) headed to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to shoot the honeymoon scene from “Breaking Dawn,” but Kristen’s on-screen maid of honor hasn’t stepped in front of the camera yet.

“We are kind of in the midst of [filming.]” Ashley Greene, who plays Alice Cullen in the hit vampire franchise, told Access Hollywood Live’s Billy Bush and Kit Hoover on Thursday.

“I’ve only been down there for hair and makeup tests and to meet [director] Bill Condon, which was absolutely wonderful,” she explained. “But I haven’t actually started filming yet… that happens towards the beginning of December for me.”

The 23-year-old said she’s itching to sink her teeth back into the vampire world.

“I’m really excited to get down there and goof around with those guys again,” she told Billy and Kit.

“Breaking Dawn” will be released as two separate films with the first installment hitting theaters November 18, 2011, and the second part on November 16, 2012.

Lionsgate has picked up from Mandate Pictures the U.S. rights to LOL, the comedy starring Miley Cyrus, Demi Moore and Ashley Greene.

The movie is an American remake of a 2008 French film, written and directed by Lisa Azuelo. Azuelo wrote and directed the remake, which is produced by Michael Shamberg and Stacey Sher of Double Feature Films and Tish Cyrus.

Lionsgate calls LOL a coming-of-age flick, giving the following synopsis:

“In a world connected by YouTube, iTunes and Facebook, Lola (Cyrus) and her friends navigate the peer pressures of high school romance and friendship while dodging their sometimes overbearing and confused parents. When Lola’s mom, Anne (Moore), “accidentally” reads her teenage daughter’s racy journal, she realizes just how wide their communication gap has grown. Through hilarious and heartfelt moments between mother and daughter, LOL is an authentic coming-of-age story that perfectly captures today’s zeitgeist.”

Also in the cast are Thomas Jane (Hung), Gina Gershon (Rescue Me), Marlo Thomas (That Girl), Fisher Stevens (Awake), and Nora Dunn (It’s Complicated), Adam Sevani (Step Up 3D), Jay Hernandez (Takers), Austin Nichols (One Tree Hill), George Finn (90210) and Douglas Booth (From Time to Time).

The Lionsgate complaint names Icahn, son Brett Icahn and the Icahn Group as defendants. Lionsgate seeks a public correction of “material misstatements and omissions” by the Icahn Group.
